Simply no boredom!

»Beware of just strolling around in a paradise of sounds – that is the most boring thing there is«, according to Helmut Lachenmann, the composer born in 1935. He has shaped contemporary music for more than half a century – for him, it must clatter and scrape, bang and crackle. The film »My Way«, released in 2020, honours the life and work of this master of noise and sound and is the perfect preparation for the focal point with four concerts, which the Elbphilharmonie is dedicating to the composer for his 90th birthday.

Elbphilharmonie PLUS is a programme that opens up different ways of looking at the music performed at the Elbphilharmonie – either to supplement a concert, or as an experience in its own right. Interdisciplinary encounters and exhibitions form part of the Elbphilharmonie+ programme, as do concert talks and films shown in museums, libraries, cinemas and community centres.

With a ticket for one of the focal point concerts at the Elbphilharmonie, you pay the reduced price for the film tickets at the Zeise Kino cinema.
